Project description:
Construction of a new electrical substation, including a control building with basement cable jointing room, three transformer bays with fire blast and protection, new driveway and associated external works.
Complex Challenges:
Rigorous attention to safety management controls was essential as much of the work took place adjacent to a live electrical cable. Special environmental controls were also required to protect an endangered species of flora which had been identified near the site.| Division | Engineering |
