Goodna STP Mechanical and Pipeing Installation

AYPE have been contracted by Thiess Pty Ltd to carry out the complete mechanical fit out and the above ground pipe installation for the Goodna STP upgrade 4A. The end user is Queenland Urban Utiliites.

The upgrade involves the building and commisisoning of the following areas:

• Oxidation ditch
• Primary treatment Area
• Membrane bio-reactor
• Blower room
• Secondary anoxic area
• Permeate slab
• Chemical storage area
• Methanol storage tank and accessories
• The service water system
• The wash water system
• The foul liquor pump station

Abergeldie are also involved in the design, supply, install and commissioning of the instrument air system, reclaimed effluent, potable water, citirc acid dosing, alum dosing and caustic dosing systems.

The team have achieved 50% of the progress and are on schedule to complete the initial phase of construction by end of March 2012. The systems will tested and the process proven on reclaimed effluent and then sewerage is planned to be introduceds in May 2012.
